The Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(C)(4) non-profit organization. Being a fire department, the IRS makes an exception and generally lets your contribution be deductible. The EIN is -  41-1738096

A 501(C)(4) allows for deductibility since we are a fire department but sometimes is not widely recognized as a charitable entity. Therefore, if you or your employer matching donation need to contribute to a 501(c)(3) we have set up a separate entity, The Gunflint Trail Fire Department - (minus the word volunteer).
